“We chose ONETIME as it fitted our needs across a variety of requirements. Being a trail run we needed portable and light timing points that could be carried to locations ‘off the beaten track’ which were not always accessible by vehicle.
The Noosa Hinterland is a remote area with small mountain ranges meaning mobile phone or wireless transmission is not always possible. We were fortunate that across all of our timing mats we had no issues with connectivity. Connectivity was especially important as it allowed us to have visibility of all participants on course as they crossed the mats with their importance heightened as darkness set in.
As our courses overlapped to a degree we only required 10 timing mats which were deployed at the 5 check points and 4 water stations along the entire 100km course.
We were fortunate to have only one injury and no lost runners which is testament to the safety element that ONETIME offered as our primary ‘tracker’ of athletes.
Finally we were comforted by the fact that the two other leading trail run events in South East Queensland had also employed ONETIME for their timing needs.”
